At times life really blows! Sometimes being positive is all you need to do.
If you know me, you know that I'd probably rather do anything else in the world than run! Running has never appealed to me and I've never been good at it. Tonight @eatprayyylove and @kwat93 talked me into going to run with them and I seriously was thinking of every excuse possible to not show up! Hey...I'm human! I was surprised to find out I ran a mile in 9 min 30 sec! That's probably really slow for some people but don't compare yourself to others! I knew they had my back 100% of the way which made me not dread it so much. It must have been the endorphins after but I agreed to do a 5K Glow Run with them next weekend...who am I?
I bet ppl think I'm obsessed with fitness lol. I swear I'm not but I am dedicated to my new lifestyle! I decided to make a change last year when I found myself constantly depressed and tired all the time. I hated sweating or any physical activity. Lol I ate anything fried and anything sweet. Smh but I realized it was totally affecting my mood and my energy level. My health was just in a terrible state. I will never forget the day I decided I have to fix this. I saw a picture of myself and I knew it was time not to get skinny cause that's never been a goal of mine but my ultimate goal is to be as healthy as I can be so that I can live a long life. There are so many complications that come with eating whatever you want and I just knew that if I wanted be healthy I had to make better choices and workout. I say all this to say everybody starts somewhere the pic on the right is after my first week of working out left is today.
