First of all I'm back from being out of town. I hope you all had a great weekend. I'll be posting pics of my trip later. And now to #theyhaveastory2 Monday. This is a photo of me. I wasn't sure if I should do this or not. A friend told me art was about pushing limits. So here it goes... Not many of you know this if any of you. I myself was homeless for a good chunk of time in my teen years. I remembered the stares and feelings of sadness loneliness and despair. Craving companionship like any other human and not knowing where the next meal is coming from. Many times I felt like giving up on myself. I got to the point where I gave up on everyone else and just depended on me. No one cared or so I thought. I got to the point where I thought I'd never make it out. Through a few twists of Fate and a group of caring people I did make it out and I'm in the position to help others now and try to give back as much as I can. I learned a lot being in that position of desperation. I'm actually grateful for that time in my life now. Looking back I wouldn't change anything. I'm proud of the person I am today. Things in life aren't always perfect but they are as they should be. I believe everything happens for a reason and nothing by mistake. I think that everyone deserves a second chance because its not always by choice people end up on the streets. I hope you realize when you walk by someone that is homeless that they are someone's son or daughter sister or brother and they feel just like you do. We all bleed the same and in my opinion there are no classes of people we are all equal. No one reserves the right to look down on anyone. You too can have everything taken away in a minute. The only thing that can't be taken away is your spirit. That's yours to keep. Keep it in a safe place and give where you can. Time is more precious than money. I know I would of liked a couple minutes with someone talking to me rather than them throwing money at me. Have a great Monday everyone. Until next Monday ... #theyhaveastory2
