Remember....Be Healthy, Be Strong, Nourish your Body and Live Fit!! Note: I Carb Cycle and I plan\/prepare meals based upon my daily training and activities. As a personal preference, I front load my carbs (it just works better for me), which means I consume my carbs at breakfast (my preworkout), post workout\/lunch and the following snack. I prefer whole food meals over shakes and usually have only one small shake each day (30 mins prior to training. Any other time of the day, I prefer not to drink my calories (only if absolutely necessary due to circumstances). In regards to post workout, I prefer to have a wholefood meal (I feel it’s not necessary for me to have a shake, but I may have them on occasion-Not often). Technically, I consider my post workout as an actual meal such as lunch. In addition to all that, I prefer complex carbs for this meal, but I will mix in some simple carbs, usually a serving of fruit or an outside treat (Honestly, I prefer my alternative treats and ultimately I focus on hitting the macros\/calories I have established--that's for throughout the day as well). ***I follow IIFYM, but with a focus on healthier options & whole foods (Personal Preference).*** Remember, there is not one golden rule or approach, it’s about finding what works best for you.
