• And lastly, gerberas remind me of my friend Gemma, because I'd never heard of them (!!!) till the summer I was 16 (twelve years ago... holy shit) and I went to visit her in Cambridge, UK. She was growing a whole bunch of them from seed while I was there. They're such cheerful and colourful flowers, kinda like Gemma's personality. :) I started buying my gran a pot of them every spring to brighten up her kitchen when I still lived back home.

• And pink roses always remind me of my gran (my dad's mum), one of my favourite people in the world. :) I hope someday I'm half the person she is. I should really get down to Oshawa to see her sometime soon... she's nearly 102, and hasn't been doing so well lately -- though hanging in there longer than we all expected this past winter. Gotta make the most of the time you've got with the people you love.

• Certain flowers remind me of certain people. Blue irises are some of my personal favourites, and they always remind me of my mum's mum (even though I never knew her; she passed away five years before I was born), because mum told me she always bought bouquets of them for her, especially when she was ill. She had cancer and was only in her 50s when she died. I wish I'd known her. :(

• So you've heard of late night gym and cardio sessions, well this was a late night grocery session because there is absolutely nothing worse then not having the correct food to eat the next day, especially when you have the desire to do so. I've grouped these pictures by mainly their macronutrient categories ex proteins, fat, carbohydrates. Remember each one of these categories of food has a specific purpose in your plan and for your body. I first look at a food for what it can do for me, then ill select a food in that category based on taste and versatility. Notice most all of these items don't have too long of a shelf life and are quickly perishable, so you have to plan accordingly and try not to be wasteful when consuming them.
