• After sleepless night I suddenly feel very tired again. Sleep is taking over. No! Not sleep for me! I'm denying the insane sandman. Always trying to take away my soul. The beast is loose already… Got to fight them all off by daydreaming horrible nightmares, where lost souls are lurking and screaming their life out. If this won't help i'll send in my conscience troops. They are very deadly with boring lectures about meaning of life. Hope the beast doesn't break my spirit again. I doubt I have the energy to reboot again. Perhaps I should just let my mind completely format my itself, thus losing all my memories. All my pains. My life… Yet I can not stop. I crawl closer. Shaking uncontrollably. Nearing the end. . Nightmares are born inside me.

• Crazy. Insane. Cuckoo. Demented. Insane in the membrane. Mondo bizarro. Wigged out. Wacked. Two cans short of a six pack. Psycho. Kray kray. Wild'n'out. Nuts. . All these and numerous more are used to describe people that are mentally strange in the eyes of society. Let's face it. We are uneasy if we hear somebody was just in the mental hospital. We have preconceived notions about how crazy the crazy are (mostly basing our assumptions on what we saw in movies…). In many ways people who are branded 'crazy' are second class humans. Pushed to the edge of society. Locked away. . It's been well over 10 years now since I worked as a male nurse in mental asylum. I won't lie, it was hard. I was 315+ lbs (140+ kg) back then. Huge. Still I was quite scared. Attacked with a knife by one of the patients on my first day. Granted it was a slow motion attack (he was medicated to a point of barely moving). Still wrestling a knife out of this frail 150 lbs guy was hard. As the days pasted I got to know and began to like all of the patients. Knew them all. Most knew me as well. Some had their memory erased by cruel fate every day. They introduced themselves to me every day. Same sentences. Same mannerism. I met a fellow Martian woman there. She was afraid to walk without holding onto a railing for she was afraid she will float away into space. Played chess with a genius who belittled the crap out of me every time I lost. And the staff working there... Loved them. Will. Till the day I die. They truly cared. They knew every patient really well. They loved them. They cried when they passed away. True heroes in my heart. . One day it hit me that the difference between being branded crazy and lively is close to non existent. We are all crazy in some way. If any of us would be secretly observed for a few days we would all be locked away. How about we compare their colorful imagination to the rest of us that most of the time mindlessly accept and play by sometime truly insane rules that society imposes on us. I see rivers of people walking the streets, pampered in their suits, all hurrying somewhere, the ultimate rat race… . I truly wonder who are the crazy ones?

• We broke out of the abyss smoke billowing out of our noses, fire on our breath, for the day has come when we finally know freedom . ------ . Couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to spend a few nights at infamous Stanley Hotel. For some the most haunted place in the world, for others a place with fascinating history. Stephen King got inspired by it to write a true psychological horror classic The Shining. Based on the book - Stanley Kubrick made one of my all time favorite movies. While Kubrick didn't shoot here, a few years later Stephen King returned here to shoot The Shining mini series. Cursed Room 217 still exists and if you don't mind having a very certain apparition hover over you - you can spend a night in it. It's squeaky. It's old. It has rumbling noises. Red carpets everywhere. Famed bar with colorful bartenders is open almost 24\/7. And the surroundings... Jaw-dropping gorgeous. . As far as ghosts concern - I don't believe they are evil... They just can't find a way to release themselves free. What say you?
