TaskRabbit is a platform where you hire someone nearby for small jobs: assembling furniture, moving, mounting a TV, cleaning or helping with errands. It was founded in 2008 by Leah Busque and was acquired by IKEA in 2017.
How TaskRabbit works
You describe the job, choose a "Tasker" based on price, reviews and availability, and pay through the platform. TaskRabbit is available in a number of cities in the US, the UK and several European countries; check taskrabbit.com to see if it covers your area. IKEA also uses TaskRabbit for furniture assembly in many of its markets.
