Touting its service as “Artificial Artificial Intelligence”, Amazon Mechanical Turk is a crowd-sourcing service that connects developers and businesses with human workers to do small tasks that can’t be feasibly done by computers. Requestors submit Human Intelligence Tasks or HITs to the website for workers, or Providers, to accomplish, with a set monetary compensation. Both Requestors and Providers can remain anonymous, being known only through usernames.
