Chegg is an online textbook rental company based in California. Formerly known as textbookflix.com, chegg.com was formulated as a textbook rental service similar to Netflix. As of 2017, the site has grown to include online tutoring, homework help, test prep (ACT, GRE, etc.), and scholarship and internship matching. Along the way, Chegg acquired a number of education, textbook, and homework help services, including CourseRank, NoteHall, Zinch, and Campus Special.
