Quizilla was an online quiz website where users contributed quiz questions. Since most of the trivia questions posted were about fan fiction, a separate fan fiction category was created. Over the years, new categories were added to the list as users posted poems, stories, and other literary works. It was bought by MTV Networks in 2006. Since then, changes were made to the site to make it a PG-rated site. Many fans and users were dismayed and stopped visiting the site. Sadly, the site closed down on October 1, 2014.
