Gumtree is a British classifieds website. Originally a local classifieds site for London, Gumtree expanded to cover more of the UK, and eventually launched sites for Warsaw, Berlin, Milan, and Rome. Users can post listings for free, but the site also offers paid advertising packages. In 2005 the site was acquired by eBay. By 2010, it was one of the top 30 websites in the UK, reaching over 14 million unique monthly visitors.
